The heartwood is orangey yellow darkening to golden brown. Presence of whitish resin veins. It does not have clearly demarcated sapwood. The grain is straight or interlocked and the texture is coarse. The hardness varies from soft to fairly hard.
 
Common Uses: furniture, flooring, veneer, boxes and crates, panelling, mpoulding, joinery, sliced veneer, formwork
